Breckenridge Spring Events
The Imperial Challenge will take place on April 5. The pseudo-triathlon race pairs together biking, skinning, and downhill skiing. Participants start in town at 9,600 feet above sea-level and bike to the base of Peak 7. From there, they transition over to uphill skis or splitboards and climb to the top of Peak 8 at 12,980 feet, then race back down the mountain. The Imperial Challenge is a unique, wild, and fun pseudo-triathlon; a test of athleticism; a rite of spring; and an all-around community party where local folks and uphill enthusiasts alike gather in Breck. This route is no easy feat with nearly 4,000 feet of elevation gain and approximately 10 miles of human-powered travel! Spandex, tutus, and costumes are always encouraged! Imperial Challenge
Peaks and Beats is part of a Rocky Mountain tour. The event will be coming to Breckenridge from April 26-27. Breckenridge's event will include musical performances from Cassian and Dombresky as well as two days of pond skimming at the base of Peak 8, Saturday and Sunday

Spring, especially April, is the best time to be here, in my opinion. The snow coverage is maximum, the crowds are gone, the sun is warm, the restaurants run specials, and you will have no trouble getting a table. See ya soon!
