On this Veterans Day, I feel an overwhelming sense of pride as I reflect on the rich legacy of service within my family. Having six individuals in my family who defended our nation fills me with gratitude and admiration. Their commitment to duty, sacrifice, and the values they uphold exemplifies the true spirit of patriotism. Today, I stand not only as a family member but also as a grateful citizen, acknowledging the immeasurable contributions of these veterans. The spirit they embody inspires me, and I am profoundly thankful for their service on this day. The pictures above are of my father-in-law, who served in WWII; my sister-in-law, who served as support in Germany and the National Guard for 20+ years; and my nephew, who served in the Gulf. My dad was in the Navy for WW2 and Korea; my mom was in the USO during WW2. I don't have a picture of my brother-in-law, who was in the Navy for the Vietnam War.
