Despite Our Recent Drought, We Can Be Optimistic.
In the 45 years I have been in Breckenridge, there has been only one other winter like this one. Breckenridge had no snowmaking in 1981, and we didn't get significant snow till the end of January. The ski area didn't open till February 10. After that we had really good skiing till Easter closing day, April 19. If you get in now while sellers are desperate and buyers are skittish, you could hit the jackpot on a last-minute reservation for the world's best spring skiing!
Even without our ordinarily great skiing, there's no place on earth I'd rather live!
